Chris,
There are some command line parameters for WFS, though none of them address
the scenario you are asking about. I'm unable to confirm support for these
at this time, so please assume no support & all the regular "no warrantee"
stuff.
On start up force WFS to start in either fax or scan mode.
/switch <fax | scan>
On start up force WFS to start in a particular known folder, used with
/switch above
/folder <outbox | incoming | inbox | sent_items | drafts>
So to have the WFS always open to the scaning inbox,
wfs /switch fax /folder inbox
Select a message in the startup folder.
/MessageId [message id]
Send document(s) to fax recipient(s).
/SendTo <file1> [<file2> [...]]
Points to the account which reflects the user's selection
/Account <account name>
Delete the file attachment once the desired action is taken.
/Delete
Install the WFS items like local fax printer
/installprinter
Uninstall WFS items
/uninstallprinter
I'll bring up the idea of adding more command line support to the WFS in our
next feature meeting & see what happens. Currently the plan is to do very
little work on WFS for Windows 7.
Thanks for your question. I'm working on taking over the fax side of wfs &
this was a great learning question for me. I just wish there were something
there for your scenario.
Thanks,
Dan
Post by ChrisHello,
I am looking for an easy way to create a shortcut that starts Windows
Fax And Scan and immediately enters the New Scan function. In many
Windows applications there are command line options, so I am hopeful
that there may be one that does what I need. Of course I am open to
any other solution that may be available as well.
Thanks,
Chris
